The refurbishment of part of the Cambridge Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, to form two new segregated wards for male and female patients. Part of this involved forming a separate private room for patients with more serious conditions. New fully accessible WC and shower facilities were created for both wards. The brief also entailed refurbishment for new sluice rooms, a new nurse base and generally bringing the ward up to modern standards for Infection Control.
