The project is the first in a series of projects to re-site and upgrade Pathology services throughout the Trust. The project included the installation of front-end robotics to handle the automated processing of samples. It was opened by Lord Carter of Coles. Other related Pathology projects on site or in the design stages are for Chemistry, Toxicology, Histopathology, Microbiology and Immunology.
